Nā Hana Fine Woodworking
We build one-of-a-kind pieces by hand. Furniture for gathering, for staying late, for remembering.

Nā Hana began with a gift. A good man gave me one piece of wood, and taught the lesson that building beautiful things for people changes lives. We've carried that into modern functional art: live-edge, large-scale tables and benches for homes and yachts. Each piece carries the endurance of the mountains and the ease of the shore — the warmth of the outdoors, brought inside.
Shaped by the places we love —
Hawaiʻi
California
Algarve
The Parks
Blue Ridge
Red oak — felled & opened on site
Hand-picked, tree by tree.
Every commission begins in the woods. Walk the stacks and choose your timber with us, or trust our eye. Each piece is like an audition, selected for character to perform in its final scene.
Sawn to reveal, not to standardize.
Each slab is opened for its figure. The grain decides the cut.
Dried slowly, to spec.
Weeks of patience, measured in single degrees — so your piece stays true for generations.
Made by hand, one at a time.
Shaped, joined, and finished by David — guided by your direction, or fully entrusted to the studio. Each piece is one of one. Scroll, and the wall turns block by block to reveal them.
